数据库介绍：
1. 简介：英国机械工程师协会（The Institution of Mechanical Engineers，IMechE）成立于1847年，隶属于SAGE Publications, Ltd（SAGE 出版公司，以下简称为“SAGE公司”），是英国最早的机械工程以及相关领域的学协会，在全球120个国家拥有约90,000多名会员，从事行业包括航空航天、航海、汽车、铁路、医学、电力和建筑行业等多元化领域。涵盖振动与控制、自动控制和机器人、仿真学、汽车工程、发动机研究、航天工程、海洋工程、医学工程等以及材料科学领域。
2. 包含内容：IMechE数据库包含IMechE学会旗下的18种同行评审学术期刊，每年推出约130期，其中17种期刊收录于JCR期刊引证报告（SCI收录）。除现刊数据库外，SAGE同时提供IMechE的全部回溯期刊文献，回溯年限可达1847年。我校订购了IMechE现刊库。
需要注意的是：IMechE期刊目前发布在SAGE出版社的在线平台上，我校未购买SAGE数据库，仅可访问该平台中的IMechE期刊全文，无权限访问其他期刊全文。
3.数据库简要使用方法：数据库提供了浏览和检索的功能。(1)浏览：按期刊名字顺序浏览；按所在学科浏览；全文可以用HTML及PDF格式浏览；(2)检索：提供了快速检索、高级检索、按学科检索、参考引文检索和期次快速定位等。可以进行著者检索，也可以针对某一期刊或某一期的内容检索期刊内容；检索结果输出方式包括标题、作者、期刊卷期、摘要预览、全文、引文等信息。也可以直接点击对应的期刊列表直接下载PDF和HTML格式下载。

4.校外访问方式：ImechE数据库支持VPN访问。
VPN访问：可访问校内所有已授权资源（等同在校内）。采用统一身份认证方式登录。使用方法如下：直接访问https://vpn.ysu.edu.cn，或访问燕山大学主页，点击页面下方的“远程登录”，使用学校统一身份认证账号和密码登录并依次点击打开图书馆及数据库页面。
5.文献传递：如果您需要该库中其他我校未购买的文献，请使用文献传递与馆际互借业务（http://ill.calis.edu.cn/reader/index.html?tenant=a000610&auth=true）由图书馆员帮您从其他机构查找。
